Facilitation & Teaching
The best way to stay fresh in your craft is to share what you know.
Workshop Facilitation
I’m a certified IBM Design Thinking Co-Creator, and always learning more ways to bring innovation and understanding to the forefront.
I love workshops and the possibilities of working with different people to think about new ways to tackle and solve problems. As a facilitator, I get excited about understanding what’s needed to create a space for people tasked with solving those problems. As a participant, I look forward to the discovery, creative innovation, and mental expansion that happens in a workshop environment.
Teaching
I began to teach after coming home from work and feeling like I wasn’t growing as a creative and learn from others. So, I researched teaching positions and found a home teaching and design curriculum for Visual Design at General Assembly in New York.
In addition to teaching the fundamentals of visual design (from color theory to design thinking to design strategy), I wanted students to leave with a tangible product. As a result of completing my course, students had a full, multi-piece portfolio of work to showcase their learnings.
Other Visual Design lessons included:
Design Strategy
Design thinking
Ux/Ui
Color theory
